WASHINGTON – North Dakota Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak has created a working group in the House of Representatives on artificial intelligence and energy.
The Republican says North Dakota has a big opportunity in AI as an energy-producing state and our country needs to meet the needs of AI in America for national security purposes.
There are several things Fedorchak wants the working group to find out.
“What the energy needs are of this industry. What are the barriers for meeting those? What’s the timeline? What’s the actual quantity of energy we’re looking at? What are some of the regulatory hurdles?” Fedorchak asked.
Fedorchak says the work the group is doing could move into her committee work soon.
