(FARGO, ND) — The Fargo Police Department is set to host a recognition ceremony today.
On Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, a traveler experiencing a medical emergency became stranded in Fargo with 14 goats and two dogs on an extremely cold day. Skip Anderson, a Shepard at NDSU’s Department of Animal Sciences, assisted Community Service Officers to ensure the animals were healthy, safely sheltered, well-fed and hydrated. The traveler was later reunited with the animals and continued his journey. Anderson will receive a Letter of Recognition for his actions.
On Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, during a call for domestic violence, Bradley Roller risked his own safety to protect his neighbor. Although he was shot during the incident, his decisive action likely saved his neighbor’s life. Bradley is on the way to a full recovery and will receive the Distinguished Service Award for his actions.
