Moorhead Police arrest man after domestic assault report

MOORHEAD, Minn. – A Moorhead man is facing charges after reportedly choking another person.

Moorhead Police say they were called to the 900 block of 17th Street South for a report of domestic assault. Prior to their arrival, the suspect fled the scene of the crime. A police K9 was called in to help locate the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Sundance Blue. He was later located, arrested and taken to the Clay County Jail, where he’s being held on charges of domestic assault, domestic assault strangulation and obstructing the legal process.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

According to court records obtained by Valley News Live, Blue was arrested in Fargo on Tuesday, March 4. Police received several calls about a shirtless man running around neighborhoods near Fargo South High School acting erratically and trying to get into people’s vehicles.

Police say Blue was reported as a car prowler. Several callers reported him running around, crouching and looking like he was running from something. Court records state he tried to enter several locked vehicles and ran into someone’s garage.

Blue was arrested on Tuesday in Fargo for criminal trespass and attempted unlawful entry into a vehicle. He was in court on March 5, he posted bond and was released.
