Grand Forks Co. inmate accused of smuggling drugs inside jail

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – An inmate at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center is accused of giving out fentanyl inside the jail.

Jeremie Castoreno is charged with Class A felony controlled substance delivery in a correctional facility, a potential 20-year sentence.

The 42-year-old allegedly smuggled in the drugs after returning from a court appearance for unrelated cases in December.

A preliminary hearing for the felony charge is scheduled for April.
