(GRAND FORKS, ND) – A man is facing terrorizing charges after an incident in Grand Forks.
Police were called to a report of terrorizing in the 1700 block of Continental Drive. Dispatchers received a report of a man in the hallway of an apartment building saying he was going to kill people. A witness reported the man was carrying in handgun.
When officers arrived, they located the man’s apartment and determined the suspect, identified as 54-year-old Elroy Thomas, was in the home. Several officers and SWAT arrived on scene and evacuated several nearby apartments. He was asked to come out and surrender, and after about 45 minutes, did so.
Thomas was arrested on a warrant and police say more charges may be filed. He was taken to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
