Abortion Ban is Repealed

On Thursday the North Dakota abortion ban was repealed after South Central District Court Judge Bruce Romanik entered a judgement against it.  Romanick was asked to review the ban as part of a lawsuit brought by an abortion clinic that used to be in the state before moving to Minnesota.  The Red River Women’s Clinic was once the state’s only abortion clinic before it moved to Moorhead.  In response to the judgement against the ban, the North Dakota Attorney General’s office filed a motion to keep the ban as law until the North Dakota Supreme Court can look at the case.  Judge Romanik will hear arguments on the motion October 10 in Bismark.
