AG Garland to release special counsel report on Trump

WASHINGTON – Attorney General Merrick Garland says he plans to release a report on President-elect Trump’s election interference case according to a court filing.

The Department of Justice told a court of appeals Garland will release volume one of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s final report to Congress and the public. It reportedly goes over allegations that Trump tried to change the results of the 2020 election.

Garland will not release volume two to the public, which features the classified documents case against the President-Elect. However, chairmen and ranking members of the Senate and House Judiciary Committees will get access to the second volume but cannot discuss it publicly.
