(BISMARCK, ND) — The North Dakota Legislative Session kicks off tomorrow, and House Majority Leader Mike Lefor says a major piece of the property tax discussion is the assessment process, which they’ll be discussing soon.
“When you have to give a list of comparable homes, it’s one thing to try and do that in Fargo,” he said. “It’s a whole lot different when you’re trying to do it in Belfield.”
Lefor says there will be discussions as to how the process of assessments can be made more flexible for the different locales across the state. He made the comments on The Flag’s What’s On Your Mind.
