(McLean, VA) — President Biden is blaming foreign travel for his poor debate performance last week. The President spoke with donors at a fundraiser in Virginia on Tuesday, where he said it “wasn’t very smart” when he “decided to travel around the world a couple of times shortly before the debate.” He added “I didn’t listen to my staff … and then I almost fell asleep on stage.” Biden apologized to the crowd of donors, saying “it’s not an excuse but an explanation.”
