BISMARCK, N.D. – North Dakota lawmakers are pushing a bill that would address the lack of reliable ambulance services in rural areas.
The Senate bill was introduced in response to rising rates of ambulance service.
According to the North Dakota Emergency Medical Association, a large percentage of ambulance services in the state say they’re in danger of closing down within the next five years.
The bill would create a program that would provide support and staffing to ambulance services in danger of shutting down.
