Bohrer announces plans to resign from Lignite Energy Council

(BISMARCK, ND) – For 12 years, Jason Bohrer has led the Lignite Energy Council.

That tenure is coming to an end, as he has announced he’s preparing to leave the council to continue his career in Washington, DC.

“Leading the Lignite Energy Council for the last 12 years has been an amazing experience, and I’m truly grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The lignite industry is filled with the greatest people in the world, and I count myself lucky to be associated with them,” Bohrer said. “There may be other places in the country that have great natural resources, but none of them have the unique combination of resources, people, policies and vision that we do. It has been an honor to be a part of Team North Dakota.”

A search for his replacement will take place as directed by the board of directors.
