Carrington woman pleads not guilty to impersonating police chief

CARRINGTON, N.D. – A Carrington woman pleads not guilty to charges of stalking, harassment and impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Court documents say Carrie Cotton harassed multiple people and violated restraining orders.

She’s accused of posing as Carrington Police Chief Chris Bittmann on Facebook claiming he was unfaithful and allowed people to sell meth around town.

Cotton’s trial is scheduled for February 21st.
