(WASHINGTON, DC) – Vice President Kamala Harris announced her economic plan she’ll put forward if she wins the presidency in November.
Harris’ proposal includes boosting the child tax credit, increasing housing construction on a federal ban on grocery price gouging.
Senator Kevin Cramer on Friday put the responsibility of inflation on Harris and President Joe Biden.
“Every penny of inflation over the last four years is the responsibility of two people, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden,” he said. “What’s really driven inflation isn’t price controls. It’s overwhelming the demand side of the economy with free money.”
The campaign also announced plans to provide a $6,000 tax cut to families with newborn children, and a $25,000 subsidy for first-time buyers.
Cramer said Harris’ plan would ‘will destroy the economy even further.’
“If they want to do more damage to the economy than they’ve already done in the last four years, go ahead and end the Trump tax cuts and raise taxes on anybody and everybody,” he said.
