Democrats retain majority in Minnesota State Senate

(ST PAUL, MINN) – A seat held by the late Senate Majority Leader Kari Dziedzic will remain in the DFL Party.

With all 25 precincts in District 60 reporting, Democrat Doron Clark handily defeated Republican Abigail Wolters by more than 7,000 votes. The Democrat Clark received nearly 91 percent of the vote of the 8,561 ballots cast in the special election.

The DFL Party now holds a 34-33 lead in the Minnesota State Senate.
