Detroit Lakes sales tax increase approved for pavilion, park & beachfront improvements

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – Voters in Detroit Lakes approve increasing sales tax by half a percent for 12 years or until $17.3 million is raised to pay for construction of a new pavilion and park, beachfront and parking improvements.

2,786 voters approved the ballot measure and 2,169 opposed it.
