Dog missing after crash near Dazey, N.D.

BARNES COUNTY, N.D. – A dog is missing after a crash in Barnes County.

It happened around 4:00 Thursday afternoon in foggy conditions at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 26 near Dazey.

The Highway Patrol says a car driven by 31-year-old Shelby Olson of Cooperstown t-boned a semi driven by 20-year-old Jack Fehr of Wimbledon who failed to yield. Authorities say Olson had the right of way.

Shelby and 34-year-old Charles Olson were taken to a Valley City hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Fehr was cited for failure to yield.

A dog named Daphne in the Olson’s vehicle ran off into a slough area. If you know where she may be, call Barnes County Dispatch at 701-845-8181.
