Early voting turnout ‘heavier than expected’ in Minnesota

(ST PAUL) – Early voting got underway last Friday in Minnesota, and Secretary of State Steve Simon says heavier than expected turnout has taken place so far. The first weekly data report from the Secretary of State’s office is due out tomorrow – and data will then be released each Thursday, Simon said. Among the races he says Minnesotans are paying attention to are the Presidential race, a US Senate race and races in the US House. Minnesota has one ballot measure – which asks voters whether or not they approve to renew funding for the outdoors.
