(ST PAUL, MINN) – Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is suing gun manufacturer Glock, Inc.
The suit, filed today, says Glock manufactures, markets and sells semi-automatic handguns that Glock knows can easily be converted into illegal machine guns with a device known as a “Glock switch.” Glock switches are putting Minnesota communities and Minnesota law enforcement at risk from illegal machine guns.
Several Minnesota incidents have had Glock guns converted to machine guns. The incidents involved injury or death. They include a May 2021 shoot-out at a Minneapolis nightclub and an August 2023 shooting of an undercover Minneapolis Police officer.
