Fargo-Moorhead Science Museum receives $300,000 grant

FARGO, N.D. – Visit Fargo-Moorhead gives a capital grant of $300,000 from its Destination Development Fund to the Fargo-Moorhead Science Museum.

The money will go toward architectural design of the new museum.

The Visit Fargo-Moorhead Board has invited the science museum board to make another request for a grant once the project is closer to construction.

The museum is scheduled to open in the fall of 2027 at Urban Plains in South Fargo. The organization says it will cost $70 million for construction and to open. Click here for more information.

The Visit Fargo-Moorhead Board says it has given out $6 million in grants to “worthy tourism related projects” across Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo.
