Fargo Police Detain two after Incident at Rodeway Inn

FARGO (WDAY RADIO) – The Fargo Police Department detained two individuals Friday afternoon at the Rodeway Inn in Fargo.

According to a police spokesman, at 7:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of 4th Avenue South for a report of a sexual assault. The victim told officers the assault occurred at a hotel in the 2200 block of South University Drive. Officers learned that another individual was possibly being held against their will in the room where the assault occurred.

Officers responded to the hotel and attempted to make contact with the individuals in the room via phone but were not successful. The FPD obtained a search warrant to enter the room. Upon entry, officers detained two people without incident.

 The incident remains under investigation; no further information can be released at this time.
