(FARGO) — At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, FPD was dispatched to the corner of Broadway and 4th Avenue North for a medical emergency.
Officers arrived and found several people known to each other had engaged in a physical altercation resulting in stab wounds to two individuals.
Both individuals suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a local health care facility for treatment.
The suspect, 35-year old Michael Hurteau, who has no permanent address, was arrested. He is facing two counts of attempted murder.
Fargo Police say the incident is not believed to be related to the FM Pride Parade.
Fargo-Moorhead Pride took to social media and issued a statement saying, “Fargo-Moorhead Pride is aware of a situation that took place shortly after the pride parade downtown Fargo today,” the group said in a Facebook post. “At this time we do not believe it was a targeted attack. Please remember to be safe and enjoy the rest of your Fargo-Moorhead Pride Weekend!”
