FARGO, N.D. – Discovery Middle School released students from school at 11:30 Tuesday morning because of a malfunction in the school’s heat pump system.
This happened during an extreme cold warning due to subzero temperatures.
Fargo Public Schools says the building has limited heat and many classrooms are not suitable for students and teachers.
The district says maintenance crews are working on fixing the issue, but says it’ll take time to have the heat pump system working properly.
Fargo Public Schools says staff will be at the school until all students are picked up.
