Firefighters battle blaze in West Fargo

(WEST FARGO, ND) – West Fargo firefighters spent Sunday afternoon fighting a blaze in single digit temperatures with a wind chill of 15 below zero.

The West Fargo Fire Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of 4th Avenue East, near West Fargo High School. Spokeswoman Addie Stewart said that the blaze is out as of 6 p.m., but firefighters remain on scene watching for hotspots.

The initial call came in at 4:51 p.m. for a structure fire. When crews arrived, smoke and flames were coming from the attached garage, with the structure fully in flames. A vehicle was inside the garage. Fargo firefighters responded to assist the West Fargo Fire Department in battling the fire.
