She was recognized by her peers.

“I hope it shows that those outside our industry, who are curious and want to know more, also recommend to follow myself and some of the other influencers,” Readel said. “They’re truly curious what happens in agriculture. And for those of us that are in it, let’s help them learn.”

Flag Family Media President and Managing Partner Steve Hallstrom has high praises for Readel.

“From the moment I met Bridgette I knew she was special.  She’s a gifted communicator with decades of ag knowledge, and her ability to talk with detail and depth about current ag issues while having fun with the conversations is really unique,” Flag Family Media President and Managing Partner Steve Hallstrom said. “She’s a unicorn and I’m so proud to have her on our team.  We celebrate this award in a big way!”

Readel says this is the first time the award was given out. The recognition thanks those in the industry for the work they do in promoting agriculture, thinking differently and being ‘an exciting force in not only social media, but media.’

When it comes to being a social media influencer, Readel says she finds that she isn’t necessarily one.

Readel says her goal as Ag Director is to educate listeners.

“That’s an influencer,” she said. “You are helping others be a positive influence in your industry, and you’re there to also help with change. That’s what I like to do every day.”
