FARGO, ND — Business members of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce hosted a discussion to learn more about multiple ballot measures in North Dakota and Minnesota.
Members of the FMWF Chamber gathered at the Microsoft Commons Building to discuss many of the ballot measures. Topics included the effective property tax pause and elimination, legalization of recreational marijuana and The Fargodome expansion and Fargodome community center. Two Minnesota topics were discussed, including the Moorhead Area Public Schools Capital Levy and Dilworth Community Center ballot initiatives.
Both before and after the five-minute talks from presenters, audience members were asked if they supported, opposed, or were undecided on the measures. The business leaders largely were in favor of all ballot initiatives after the five minute speeches, with only the end of property tax receiving a large “no” majority.
The lone Minnesota ballot measure to extend a policy to share revenue collected by the lottery with the Environment and Natural Resources Fund.
The general election takes place on November 5th in 2024. You can find more information about voting in North Dakota by clicking here. Minnesota residents can click here for additional voting information.
