DENVER – The Minnesota Frost played in front of the largest crowd in the United States for a women’s pro hockey game on Sunday.
It happened against the Montréal Victoire at Ball Arena in Denver. The teams drew 14,018 fans in their 4-2 victory leading to the Frost taking over first place in the league.
The Professional Women’s Hockey League’s attendance record is 21,105 set last April between Toronto and Montreal in Quebec.
