GRAND FORKS, N.D. – A memorial service is scheduled for University of North Dakota’s “Zamboni Man”.
Dennis Gunderson, who for several years drove the Zamboni machine at UND hockey games, died last Sunday at the age of 85. The memorial service will be held February 14 at 1:00 PM at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
Gunderson, who also maintained the university’s football field and basketball courts, retired in 2009 after working 45 years at the school.
