GoFundMe created for victims of Moorhead house fire

(MOORHEAD) – A GoFundMe has been started for the family that lost their home to fire in Moorhead on Thursday.

“On August 29th, the Santoya family experienced a life-altering tragedy,” the GoFundMe states. “A devastating house fire swept through their home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.”

One child was admitted to Sanford Hospital for smoke inhalation, and three dogs perished in the fire.

“The Santoya family is now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. They need to secure temporary housing, replace basic necessities, and begin the long journey of recovery,” the post read. “As you can imagine, the emotional and financial burden will be immense.”

As of early Friday afternoon, more than $10,000 had been raised.
