(GRAND FORKS) – The Chief of Police for the City of Grand Forks is retiring after serving the city for more than 36 years.
Mark Nelson will be honored in a retirement ceremony on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Public Safety Center, located at 1220 South 52nd Street.
Nelson began his career in 1988 as a patrol officer.
