Grand Forks tire-slasher ordered to pay $29,000 in damages

GRAND FORKS, ND — A Grand Forks man has been ordered to pay $29,000 restitution for a massive tire-slashing spree.

Matthew Morris, a former corrections officer, slashed the tires of neighbors living just a few blocks from him near Ralph Engelstad Arena last October. Over 90 tires were damaged, and 45 victims were targeted.

Morris is serving two-years in prison for the crime spree.
