Chief Chris Helmick’s first words as the Moorhead Police Chief
(MOORHEAD, MINN) – Moorhead has a new police chief.
Chris Helmick was sworn in as the newest leader of the Moorhead Police Department at its regular meeting.
“I’m honored to be able to work with the men and women of this department to keep our city safe,” Helmick said after being sworn in.
He reflected on the recent homicide in Moorhead as examples of the work Moorhead Police will ‘work tirelessly’ to do in keeping the community protected.
Helmick says he’s committed to being the best chief he can. As a resident of Moorhead, he says it’s important ‘to keep this city as safe as possible.’
