(WASHINGTON, DC) – With just nine days left before Inauguration Day, anticipation is ramping up for the President-Elect Donald Trump administration taking over the White House.
Now, members of the the U.S. House and Senate will be working to enact items of importance to Trump and his administration.
“We want to implement Trump’s agenda,” U.S. Senator John Hoeven (R-North Dakota) said. “It’s figuring out how to do it in the best way possible and get it done as soon as we can, and get all of it.”
He says the logistics of moving the agenda through Congress are being worked on currently – the most expeditiously.
“As you see in this, one bill or two, they’re not mutually exclusive at all,” Hoeven said.
Senators and members of Congress are working on different portions of the bill.
“We would try and get the security piece in place first and come back with the rest in a second reconciliation, as a way to get more done sooner,” Hoeven said. President Trump, he said, pushed back on the idea.
