(ELK RIVER, MINN.) — Hours after learning former North Dakota legislator Raymon (Ray) Holmberg had surrendered to the United States Marshals Service, WDAY Radio has confirmed where Holmberg is being held.
A search of records shows Holmberg is jailed at the Sherburne County Jail in Elk River, Minn. He had agreed to surrender to authorities after failing to adhere to provisions of his release on charges he traveled to Prague, Czech Republic, with the intent of having sex with minors.
Holmberg had served in the North Dakota Legislature for more than 40 years before resigning in 2022.
