I-94 rollover leads to serious injuries

(FARGO, ND) – Three people suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries Monday afternoon in a crash on I-94 in Cass County.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Fargo Fire and Sanford Ambulance responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on I-94 near mile marker 351 at 3:21 p.m.

A 2016 Ford Explorer, driven by 43-year-old Fatuma Osman, of Moorhead, was westbound on I-94 under poor road conditions.  She was driving too fast for the conditions, lost control of her vehicle and entered the ditch. She struck a tree row along a fence dividing I-94 and a frontage road. The vehicle then rolled and came to rest in the ditch.

Osman, 21-year-old Sumago Hassan and a juvenile passenger all sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Sanford Hospital.

The crash is under investigation.
