GRAND CITIES – The Grand Forks and East Grand Forks city councils approved a Cities Area Transit fare raise for all riders.
One way fares will rise 50 cents to $2 dollars for adults, and by a quarter to $1 for kindergarten through 12th grade students.
Fares for seniors and disabled riders will rise 20 cents to 80 cents , and paratransit fees will be higher by a dollar to $4.
Daily and monthly passes will increase by 33 percent.
The increased rates will take effect April 14th.
