New York, NY, — A New York City judge is agreeing to push back any decisions on President-elect Trump’s hush money felony conviction.
Judge Juan Merchan was set to decide Tuesday whether to throw out Trump’s conviction, with his defense team wanting the case dismissed altogether. Merchan is giving prosecutors a week until November 19th after the Manhattan District Attorney’s office reportedly asked for more time to mull what they want to do now that Trump will be the next Commander-in-Chief.
His sentencing is set for November 26th, where he faces prison time for falsifying business records related to a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.
