FARGO (WDAY) – Shawn Dobberstein, Hector International Airport’s executive director, has been appointed to a two-year term on The American Association Airport Executives (AAAE) Board of Directors.
The AAAE, the largest professional organization that represents those who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports made the decison during the 95th Annual Conference in Denver.
As a board member, Dobberstein will hold direct responsibility for establishing the policy and direction of the association with additional insight and input provided. “I am excited for this opportunity to represent Fargo on a national level,” shared Dobberstein. “This is a great opportunity for Hector International Airport to gain recognition from the aviation world.” Board members are vital in charting the course for the future of the airport industry while raising critical issues facing airports today. Dobberstein will represent the Great Lakes Region, an 11-state area as well as Manitoba and Ontario in Canada.
Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing the individuals who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. AAAE’s 9,000 members represent some 875 airports and hundreds of companies and organizations that support the airport industry.
