(Hankinson, ND) — North Dakota State Police are investigating yesterday morning’s single-vehicle crash on Interstate 29 near Hankinson that left a motorist dead.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened shortly after 8 a.m. when the 59-year-old victim – who was alone in his car – veered off the road and struck a “road-closed” barricade before his vehicle continued on at speed into a ditch and slammed into some uprights supporting another highway sign. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
As of this publication, the identity of the deceased has not yet been released. No other injuries were reported.
