(Fargo, ND) — Senator Kevin Cramer honored Fargo Police Officer Zachary Robinson in a speech on the senate floor.
“We will likely never know how many lives were saved that day, that his heroism protected that day, but his actions will never be forgotten by the Fargo community or the state of North Dakota,” said Cramer.
Cramer spoke Tuesday, after Officer Robinson was awarded the TOP COP award in Washington Sunday.
Robinson received the prestigious national award for his heroic efforts in shooting and killing Mohammad Barakat last July.
Barakat opened fire on Fargo police officers and a citizen, killing officer Jake Wallin.
