(Fargo, ND) — North Dakota state officials are investigating the apparent closure of a West Fargo-based real-estate investment company after several employees and contractors said they’d been let go this month.
Authorities say some contractors who worked for EPIC Companies complain that they haven’t been paid and that in at least one case, were told that no money was available.
A state securities official reportedly stopped by the facility on Bluestem Drive only to find that doors were locked and lights were off.
In addition, calls to the company reportedly have gone unanswered.
EPIC owns and manages commercial and residential properties in Fargo, Moorhead, Grand Forks, Perham, Jamestown and Bismarck.
WDAY Radio Now’s repeated requests for comment from the North Dakota Attorney General’s Office have gone unanswered.
