Several local police departments get involved in arrest of Mapleton man accused of intentionally striking pedestrian in vehicle crash

(Fargo, ND) — Local authorities say a Mapleton man is in custody following what they describe as an intentional vehicle crash in Fargo.

The Fargo Police Department says they responded to the area of the 200 block of 8th Avenue North due to a vehicle and pedestrian accident. Authorities say through a brief investigation, they determined the incident was intentional, and issued a felony arrest warrant for Nicholas Bruesch (37m, No permanent address). He was later located in West Fargo by police. When a traffic stop was initiated by authorities, Bruesch allegedly attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle and later on foot. He was later taken into custody and charged with reckless endangerment.

The West Fargo Police Department corroborated the information listed above, saying Bruesch fled into an unoccupied residence. He was taken into custody with the assistance of a K-9 unit. He faces charges including fleeing a peace officer, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony burglary, refusal to halt, preventing arrest, and several warrants.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrest.
