West Fargo police officers arrest couple on drug charges following car chase

(Fargo, ND) — West Fargo Police officers arrested a man and woman on drug charges early Monday morning after chasing the couple in a car. 

The chase began just after midnight on Main Avenue, and ended a short time later after an officer stopped the suspect’s car using a PIT (pursuit intervention technique) maneuver.

The driver arrested is identified as 34-year-old West Fargo resident Toby Richardson.

He is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, felony fleeing in a motor vehicle and driving under suspension.

The passenger arrested is identified as 37-year-old Stephanie Peterson.

Police said she does not have a permanent address.

She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and possession of schedule V narcotics.

She was also cited for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
