FARGO, ND — Fargo Police arrested a man accused of throwing rocks at authorities from a rooftop early Friday morning.
Police responded to the area of the 20 block of 7th Street South on a report of a man inside a building who did not live there. Officers arrived to find Ezra DeJarlais climbing a fire escape ladder to the roof of the building. That is when rocks and roof vents were thrown from the roof. Authorities also determined the man was carrying multiple knives, including a machete, on his belt. Police later climbed a fire truck ladder and arrested DeJarlais without incident.
DeJarlais is charged with Burglary, Preventing Arrest, Inhalation of a Volatile Chemical, and an outstanding warrant.
