FOSSTON (WDAY RADIO) – An 8 year-old was shot in the leg, Thursday in rural Fosston, Minnesota.
Shortly after 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a residence in rural Fosston, where an 8 year-old male had been accidentally shot in the leg by an 11 year-old child. A .22 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene.
The boy who was shot was transported by ambulance to Fosston and then airlifted to Sanford in Fargo for further medical care. The Polk County Sheriff’s office says his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.
