Millions in federal funds given to North Dakota airports for construction projects

WDAY RADIO — North Dakota Airports are receiving a total of $6.6 million in federal funds for improvements.

A majority of the funds are being distributed to Fargo’s Hector International Airport, but a wide variety of funds are also headed to airports in Jamestown, Dickinson, Kindred, and more.

Each facility will utilize the funds in different ways.

  • $1.086 Million: North Dakota State Aviation : Update state and regional system plans.
  • $3.963 Million: Hector International Airport: Terminal Expansion
  • $104,660: Dickinson / Theodore Roosevelt Regional: Construct and expand aircraft rescue and fire fighting building
  • $247,500: Jamestown Regional: Construct and expand snow removal equipment building
  • $481,761: Robert Odegaard Field (Kindred): Construct Taxiway
  • $450,000: Mandan Regional / Lawler Field: Construct Airport drainage and erosion control
  • $365,573: Walhalla Municipal / Construct and expand hanger.
