Sanford Children’s Hospital welcomes “facility dog”

(Fargo, ND) — It’s a first for Sanford Children’s Hospital as patients and staff welcome a facility dog.

The one-year-old golden retriever named Fox will provide comfort and care to those in the building.

Fox is trained to be in a patient’s room during medical procedures to help reduce the stress on kids and their parents.

A facility dog is not a therapy dog which is a personal pet certified to visit a hospital.
