Luigi Mangione waives extradition in UnitedHealthcare murder case

NEW YORK CITY — The suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson is waiving extradition.

Luigi Mangione is expected to immediaetly be taken to New York City. He’s charged with first degree murder as an act of terrorism for the death of Thompson. He had been held in a Pennsylvania jail since his arrest earlier this month.

There’s word that the feds may bring their own charges against Mangione.
