FARGO, N.D. – A man pleads guilty for his role in a deadly crash killing a woman near the 52nd Avenue WalMart in Fargo in December 2024.
Twenty-three-year-old Alex Cruz pleaded guilty to duty in accident involving death and driving under suspension in the death of 36-year-old Robyn Krause of Fargo. Cruz pleaded not guilty in January. His sentencing is scheduled for March 24.
Cruz was cited four times for speeding in 2024 and once for disregarding a stop sign. One speeding ticket was given to him two days before the deadly crash.
The crash happened December 23 at the intersection of 38th Street and 53rd Avenue South around 6:30 AM. The Highway Patrol says a woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a Dodge Charger and the vehicle kept going. A source tells Flag Family News Krause was an employee at WalMart.
Authorities say they found the car in Fargo by matching a vehicle from a previous contact with law enforcement. Twenty-three-year-old Alex Cruz was arrested on felony suspicion of leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
