Minnesota livestock owners eligible for funding to prevent wolf attacks

(ST PAUL) – Livestock owners in Minnesota can now receive money for the prevention of wolf attacks. The Minnesota Department of Agriculture says $45,000 is available through Wolf-Livestock Conflict Prevention Grants through the department. The grants provide reimbursements for costs of approved practices to prevent wolf-livestock conflicts. Those eligible expenses include the purchase of guard animals, wolf-deterring lights and alarms, calving or lambing shelters and wolf-barriers.
