(ST PAUL, MINN) – Republicans and members of the DFL in Minnesota’s State House of Representatives are no longer gridlocked.
And Minnesota Republican Party Chairman Alex Plechash says it’s all thanks to a group of grassroots Republicans.
“After weeks of gridlock, we are glad that Democrats have finally come to their senses and agreed to return to work,” he said in a statement posted to X. “But let’s be clear—this only happened because of the overwhelming pressure from our grassroots movement.”
Plechash says more than 7,000 signatures were collected in 24 hours in an effort to recall members of the House DFL party. He says the future of the recall is undetermined.
“We will wait and see,” Plechash said. “Minnesotans are watching, and we will continue to hold Democrats accountable every step of the way.”
